26th National RESC Conference & 11th National Conference on Language Assessment 2024 is an event organized by the Department of English at the National Institute of Education every year with the purpose of providing an opportunity for all the members of the RESC staff to meet in one single forum to share their knowledge and experience. This conference offers them the opportunity to meet the academics specializing in English Language teaching in Sri Lanka and worldwide who are willing to share their experiences in the field. Therefore, the National RESC conference has become a landmark event in the context of upgrading the level of English language education in Sri Lanka.

With the participation of local and foreign scholars, the 26th National RESC Conference & 11th National Conference on Language Assessment 2024 is scheduled to be held from 26th to 28th November 2024 as a 3-day virtual conference under the theme, “Making English Language Teaching Ready for the Era of Generative AI: Challenges, Motivation, and Readiness”. 100 members of the RESC staff from 31 RESCs located throughout the country along with around 500 stakeholders in the system of education including Provincial Directors, ADEs, ISAs, Master Trainers, teachers, NIE and MoE staff, University Academics and the staff of Training Colleges will be invited to participate in the conference.
