Science and Technology play an important part in today’s environment and will play an even more critical role in the future given the pressure to conserve our dwindling earth’s resources for the very survival of mankind. As the future generation grows up in an increasingly technologically and scientifically advanced world, they need to be scientifically literate to succeed. They need to be logical thinkers, critical analysts, problem solvers, and innovators, opening their minds to the potential of natural resources and ’human-derived’ technology that they can harness and build on for a better tomorrow.
Creating exciting learning materials to engage students in the Sciences at the primary level and building on this learning through Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information, Communication Technology (ICT), Health and Physical Education, subjects at the secondary level. The exposure to subjects of Entrepreneurship and Commerce strengthens the self-reliance of the student and gives students the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in school and beyond in an area of high demand.
The faculty of Science and Technology develops its curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment for the national general education Science and Technology subjects based on the most recent research findings and industry trends. This ensures the relevance of the subject study and equips the student for the 21st century.
